Decay and Regeneration in a Small Mountain Town by Ana Moca Grama
This series is very close to my heart, as it documents my hometown of Predeal, Romania. The small mountain city was one of the biggest winter resorts in Romania, but, after the fall of communism, it was left without its state-funded tourism institutions, job opportunities dwindled, and people started leaving. Nowadays, off season, Predeal has a ghost-town quality to it and a fascinating energy, because even though many of its man-made structures are dying, nature is taking over and replacing everything with pure green life.
Ana Moca Grama is a film photographer currently based in Brasov, Romania.
