Andreea Andrei is a visual artist based in London, United Kingdom. Her art focuses on social documentary and portraiture, seeking to explore the complex relationship between the subject and the photographer. Drawn to engage in personal projects that she can relate to, she likes to get to know the subject and make a deep connection with it.
I started shooting Polaroids in 2015 when I decided to move to UK and continue my Film and Photography studies. I don’t have a certain subject when I shoot instant film, I just like to collect memories in a tangible way. A huge part of my work is personal, intimate at times.
