A Selection of Portraits by Magdalena Jarych

A Selection of Portraits by Magdalena Jarych

I am not this kind of “I wish it was the 60s” person. Magdalena Jarych

I love technological progress, I love shooting with my digital camera, but when photographing people, choosing film cameras is quite obvious to me.

Especially portraits.

I would not say that the film reflects reality better. I would rather say that the film overwrites the additional reality.

You’re never quite sure what the end result will be.

Add to that the dedication of both sides – because of course, there is a certain amount of frames available.

I do not want to be too romantic, but analog portraits often give the impression that at that particular moment, only what the photo shows is happening & exists.
