Uniqueness by Simona El-Sayed
Analog photography has been an inspiration for me ever since I was 17 years old. I’ve noticed that this kind of photography could truly express emotions and the photographs have their own soul. I think analog photography breaths life, it’s not “empty inside”. Simona El-Sayed
When I found my granddad’s old Zenit, I immediately started taking photographs anywhere without stopping. After I shot my first series, I’ve noticed that it’s possible to create something out of nothing and even by coincidence. I didn’t have any plan or aim of what I was going to shoot. I was just going with the flow and exploring the impact that the fortuity could have on my photos.
The series below has nothing to do with each other, but on the other hand, I think they show simplicity, diversity and carefreeness. The thing that worries me the most is that analog photography fell into oblivion and a lot of people forgot about this kind of photography. On the bright side, though: maybe this makes it even more fascinating?
