bad habit. by Archie Magsumbol

bad habit. by Archie Magsumbol

i had a brief memory of someone i met from a year ago, just prior to falling asleep. she lingered long enough to eventually crossover into a dream i had. Archie Magsumbol

it was like a black and white film, shot on a super 8 camera. she was in her flat, lounging around, playing dress up. i just sat and stared. at one point a phone rang. she picked it up but it kept ringing. she smiled and laughed but she wouldn’t speak to me, even though she knew i was there. i was trapped in this lucidity, knowing this is as close as i would get. the last thing i wanted was this thought for me to keep returning to, like a bad habit.

then suddenly it ended. i woke up wishing i could forget it like the others. but i was quickly reminded when i saw the missed call on my phone.
