Infinite Confined by Jérémy Rico
I experienced confinement as a question of scale. From withdrawal to horizon. From the self to the near, to the far. This series mixes these scales rather than making them succeed each other, as if to further blur the time tracks of this period which does not seem to have an end. The mountain and its elsewhere are thus mixed with everyday life at home and with the empty city in which only the self still exists. A question of scales, but also of nature, since life invites itself everywhere like a breath of oxygen in this anxiety-provoking period. A shadow, a body, a plant, a tree, like so many threads woven with life.
Jérémy Rico is a self-taught photographer based in Fribourg, Switzerland. He fell in love with film photography after spending a summer with a disposable camera in my pocket. Since then, I have been trying, experimenting, from the most desert landscapes to the most intimate portraits.
