Lonely Hearts Underground Club by Giannis Sideridis
Loneliness adds beauty to life. It puts a special burn on sunsets and makes night air smell better.
“Lonely Hearts Underground Club” is an ongoing photo series about choosing solitude. About how, sometimes, loneliness adds beauty to life and how it is romanticized.
I felt that photographing and creating alone many times was a cleansing experience and I saw that it was visible through my photographs.
Giannis Sideridis currently lives and works in Greece, where he also studies Architecture. He started experimenting with photography about three years ago when he moved back to his hometown. At first he was just looking for a creative medium to put energy into, but over the years he felt that it was evolving to something much greater, to a driving force for his work, studies and everyday life.
