Not Being There by Zeno Gill
I shot all of these images while walking across Midtown Manhattan, looking for details that give the city personality and shooting spontaneously. To know a place, I need to look between the landmarks and beyond the obvious to find clues. And, as a couple of these images indicate, I myself am one of the odd details.
Zeno Gill lives in New York with his wife, daughter and dog. He enjoys photographing anyone and everything he sees around Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Westchester, and everywhere else he goes — from Joshua Tree National Park to Glasgow to Miami to the Adirondacks. He enjoys portraiture, street photography, travel photography and experimental photography.
